Big idea campaign
Big idea campaign
Postponed premieres, cancelled shooting schedules, closed cinemas - lockdown and all of 2020 has turned the cinematic world on its head.
This difficult situation for the entire film industry inspired the creation of a unique campaign in which, for the first time in Poland, multiplexes, art house cinemas and foundations supporting the development of cinematography joined forces across the divide.
Main theme
We decided to show the story of two young people who cannot show their emotions. They both have rich inner lives, but it is only in the cinema room that they start to show what they experience at the screening. The stories are concluded by icons of contemporary Polish cinematography - Joanna Kulig (known, among others, from the Oscar-nominated Cold War) and Marcin Dorociński (known, among others, from The Queen's Gambit). Apart from broadcasting the spots, a number of social media activities will be carried out, including activities with actresses and actors via their channels. All elements are linked by a common hashtag:#ComeToThe Cinema.
Support
The cooperation of so many entities from the film industry was an exceptional situation on a national scale. The campaign was initiated by the following chains: Multikino, Cinema City, Helios and arthouse cinemas all over Poland, and supported by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, the Polish Film Institute and the Polish Producers Guild. The campaign was a response to the current problem of the cinema crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
